A residence in St Helens was raided and drugs and a deadly weapon were discovered.
A warrant on a St Helens property resulted in the recovery and seizure of drugs and a dangerous weapon.
In response to community intelligence, officers searched two separate residences in St Helens town centre on Thursday.
A man was detained and later released under investigation pending the outcome of the investigation.
At the first site, police said they uncovered class A drugs and a dangerous weapon, while a search of the second house turned up nothing.
“We carried out two drug warrants at two houses in St Helens town centre yesterday, Thursday, June 10, in response to community intelligence,” Merseyside Police stated in a statement today.
“A 49-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class A controlled substance. He has been released under investigation pending the outcome of the probe.
“A knife was discovered and seized during a search of the property.”
“The search for the second property yielded no results.”
