A car, which was seen with the handbrake, races into the house on the run.


The driver left the scene after the incident on Broadwood Street shortly after noon today (Friday, October 23).

A car hit the wall of a house in Wavertree at noon today.

Investigations are now underway to locate the driver.

Firefighters and police were on the scene.

The front of the white Suzuki Swift was heavily damaged, but no injuries were reported.

According to unconfirmed reports, the car was “on wheels (hand brake)” before the driver crashed into the side of the house.

A Merseyside police spokesman said: “Shortly after midday, officers were called in to report that a Suzuki Swift had collided with a wall.

“Damage was caused but no injuries were reported. The driver is believed to have escaped and investigations are underway to locate him. The car will be recovered forensically.”
