13 people each bagged £1,000 thanks to their lucky zip code.
Neighbors on a street in Southport celebrated yesterday after everyone had won a prize in the People’s Postcode Lottery.
The lucky residents won a prize
The ambassador of the People’s Postcode Lottery, Danyl Johnson, sent the winners his best wishes. He said: “What a great way to start the week. Congratulations to all the winners in Southport, I hope they enjoy spending the prize money”.
Neighbors on New Cut Lane were able to claim the prize when PR8 3DW was announced as the daily prize winner at the People’s Postcode Lottery on Monday, October 26.
The Neighbors’ prize follows five other winners from Southport, who were lucky just last week, on Thursday, October 22.
At least 32% of ticket sales go directly to charities and People’s Postcode Lottery players have raised over £600 million to date for thousands of charities in the UK and beyond.
This draw was sponsored on behalf of the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), which has received over £3.5 million sterling thanks to the players. The RNIB is one of the UK’s leading charities for visually impaired people and the largest community of blind and visually impaired people.
It focuses on giving people the help, support and resources they need to realise their aspirations.
Many good causes close to the winners have also benefited from the players’ support, and local charities can apply for funding next year.
