You Could Be Sent on a $4k Lake Vacation If You Watch Hours of Netflix
If you view a certain amount of Netflix content, a firm will send you on a lavish lake vacation anywhere in the globe.
This summer, Leinenkugel’s, a brewery that distributes beers and shandies, started its “Docs for Docks” campaign.
In 2020, the company hopes to send ten people who have spent too much time in front of the television on a dream trip to reacquaint them with the great outdoors.
“In the past year, Internet streaming traffic set an all-time high, documentaries are now popular small talk fodder, and the dreaded ‘are you still watching’ screen has become an all-too-familiar sight,” Leinenkugel’s remarked.
“As summer approaches, Leinenkugel’s is inviting folks to trade their docs for docks—a simple exchange of screen time for time by the lake this summer for a chance to win a dockside getaway with Leinenkugel swag or funding for a six-pack of Leinenkugel’s summer shandy.”
The ten lucky winners will each receive a $4,000 stipend to spend on a lakeside retreat, complete with liquor and souvenirs.
“Travelers will receive not only a stipend, but also enough ice-cold beer to stock the fridge, Leinenkugel’s canoolers, and lake stuff to complete their #lakelife experience,” according to the website.
The victors can invite as many—or as few—people as they want, and can book a lakeside retreat anywhere in the world, on any platform, according to Washington Newsday.
The funds can be used for anything related to the trip, including plane travel, gas mileage, and train tickets.
There are four categories in which you can register your 2020 TV addiction: Premiere, which covers up to 10 hours of viewing, Season Two, which covers 11 to 20 hours, Marathon, which covers 21 to 40 hours, and Finale, which covers more than 41 hours of viewing.
If you aren’t one of the lucky chosen ones, don’t worry; there are 500 runner-up prizes of a pack of Leinenkugel’s to be won.
The deadline for applications is June 23, and the winners should be revealed shortly thereafter.
Anyone in the United States over the age of 21 can apply, which you can do by clicking here.
