It is the playoff season for Group C on The Masked Singer. It is expected that the remaining candidates will compete in the sixth episode of the season, which will air on Wednesday on Fox, in another season 4 sing-off.
In the final episode of the music competition, viewers were finally introduced to the mysterious performers Broccoli, Squiggly Monster, Mushroom Jellyfish and Lips. Although Lips gave a hilariously energetic performance – there was even a moment during her cover version of Odyssey’s hit “Native New Yorker” when she burst out laughing and snorting – the ruby red and sparkling Smackers got the fewest votes and dropped out of the show.
Another member of Group C will sing their hearts out for the last time on Wednesday, after the contestants took the stage for the second time this season. One can only guess who will finish last in this round, but it is unlikely that Jellyfish will be that candidate.
The sultry green singer thrilled the judges Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Robin Thicke and Nicole Scherzinger with her debut performance of Fergie’s “Big Girls Don’t Cry”. Thicke said Jellyfish had “such a beautiful singing tone”, while McCarthy thought the contestant was one of the “shocker” in the show that would make it to the finals.
As it looks in Episode 6 “Sneak Peek” (below), it looks like she’s seducing the panelists once again with a soulful interpretation of “Crazy” by Patsy Cline.

Their singing remains completely in the memory of the judges in the clip. Thicke watches in amazement while another judge ejects an “Ooh” as soon as Jellyfish hits a high note.
However, the performance does not necessarily help the judges to find out who might be hiding behind the glamorous costume. When she first appeared, everyone thought that Jellyfish might be a younger star. But with a clue spool featuring pictures of Japanese fans, angelfish, tiaras and baby powder, they struggled to confidently guess who Jellyfish really was.
Thicke thought Jellyfish could be the gymnast Gabby Douglas. Jeong suspected Chloe Grace Moretz or Awkwafina, while McCarthy said she had a Sofia Richie atmosphere.
Speaking of judges – there will be a surprising addition to the jury during the episode. Before the candidates start singing songs, the mysterious Mr. TV will arrive. And no, it’s not Joel McHale, who has already appeared twice as guest host during the fourth season of The Masked Singer. But it doesn’t necessarily have to be someone new on the show. In fact, the face behind a television costume might actually be someone who has appeared on the show before.
The Masked Singer will air on Wednesday at 20:00 ET on Fox.
