Beyoncé has teamed up with Adidas for the new, highly anticipated Adidas x IVY PARK collection Drip 2.
Drip 2 is said to be the star’s most comprehensive collection to date and will be available for purchase online today, October 29th.
The new collection ranges in size from XXXS to 4X and features more of the brand’s luxurious recreational sports styles, including gender-neutral performance gear, shoes and accessories.
In a recent interview with Highsnobiety, the “Lemonade” singer said: “Color has become a way to balance the sadness we’ve all experienced this year. Even though we are all still a bit uncertain about the times, I hope that this collection for men and women will remind everyone of better times and that it will bring some joy, fun and playfulness”.
So when can we start buying? Drip 2 will be available exclusively on adidas.com and in the Adidas app starting today. The lines will be available in stores on October 30. Prices range from $25 for accessories to $200 for outerwear.
The color palette this time includes real coral tones, mesa, yellow tones, dark green and green tones.
“Inspired by the inner beauty, strength, resilience and energy of the artists who have found their respective parks, Beyoncé and adidas celebrate staying positive and finding joy again and again,” the official description of the collection says.
“As the world faces various conflicts of unknown outcome, Beyoncé looked inward to find the ability to find her park mentally, physically, and emotionally,” states the official description of the collection. Between video calls and what she and her children call ‘Fashion Fridays’, Beyoncé found laughter and joy in the silence that accompanied her new way of life.
This collection follows the relaunch of the brand in January and Beyoncé, who became the sole owner of the company after the buyout of Topshop owner and billionaire Phillip Green in November 2018. This makes her the first black woman to be the sole owner of a sports leisure brand.
“It is a dream come true to re-launch IVY PARK as the sole owner,” Beyoncé said in a press release last year. “My team has worked hard with the adidas team to make my vision for this first collection a reality, and I am grateful and proud. From accessories to clothing to footwear, I wanted to design and redesign pieces that would serve as favorite gear for anyone who recognizes the strength in their individual style and lives freely and courageously”.
