Are you trying to avoid live coverage of the vote count on election day? Do you want to watch sketch comedy sketches instead?
Then look no further than the 2020 Saturday Night Live Election Special. The episode aired on NBC last night, but it’s not too late to watch it and laugh while you eat under stress tonight.
People can stream the 42-minute special for free on NBC.com, along with Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming platform. The fans’ favorite sketches were chosen for the 2020 election special to add a little lightness to the otherwise stressful days.
Some of the sketches included in the SNL special are the sketch “Impeachment Town Hall cold open” from September 2019, along with the sketch “Laura Ingraham Angle” from early March this year, just before the corona virus began to close the country.

Saturday Night Live already reported last Saturday about the fear of the election day. Kate McKinnon resumed her role as former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to remind the audience and Jim Carrey’s Joe Biden that “we’ve lost before”.
Despite the discomfort many of us may now feel, Carrey’s Halloween theme coldly and openly reminded people to use their vote to vote for this election.
The evening’s host, John Mulaney, also encouraged the audience to participate in the Elderly Man Contest. “On November 3, a contest for older men will be held. So there are two older men and you are supposed to choose your favorite from the two older men,” Mulaney said.
“You can take it to the post office or write down which older man you like, and then we’ll add them all together, and then maybe we’ll have the same older man or a new older man, but rest assured, no matter what happens, not much will change in the United States,” he continued.
“The rich will continue to prosper while the poor languish, families will be thrown off balance by mental illness and drug addiction. Jane Lynch will continue to book, many projects, and when she does, she will… She’s so good at being on TV.
Mulaney also joked that people should vote more than once. “You should vote. You have to vote, vote as many times as you can… fill in every circle, every dot they have, fill it in, and if a page says ‘this page was left blank on purpose’, write whatever you want,” he explained. “This is your place as an American.”…
