This Horror Movie Reference Can Be Found in Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Thot S***’

Megan Thee Stallion has returned to the music scene with a bang, releasing a steamy music video to go along with her new tune “Thot S***.”

While the rapper is known for her high-velocity wordplay and gravity-defying twerking, she has also included a special gift for horror enthusiasts.

Fans flocked to Twitter shortly after the video was uploaded in the early hours of Friday morning to point out her reference to A Nightmare on Elm Street.

At the start of the video, a grumpy congressman can be seen leaving a scathing remark on YouTube for her 2020 hit “Body.”

Megan terrorizes the politician in a variety of ways, from getting hit by a truck to having coffee thrown over his head, as he lives to repent his remarks.

Megan’s hand, which has long manicured nails, is seen rising from the water as she gestures at him as he tries to enjoy a relaxing bath.

Fans were quick to point out that the sight is evocative of Freddy Krueger’s metal-clawed leather glove rising from the water as one of his young victims dozes off in the bath in A Nightmare on Elm Street.

On Twitter, @Wirjil wrote, “I absolutely like the Nightmare on Elm Street reference on Megan’s Thot S*** music video.”

@OhAidan tweeted, “The nightmare on Elm Street allusion in Megan’s new song video… I love her…”

Following a fan’s question, the rapper—real name Megan Pete—took to Twitter on Thursday to explain the idea behind her current hit.

She wrote: “I’m really just talking s*** and taking ownership of the words ‘thot’ and ‘hoe’ bc they’re not the drag the men think it is when trying to come at women for doing them.”

Megan’s new single comes after she announced on social media in April that she was taking a hiatus, in order to “recharge.”

The star will appear in November 2020. This is a brief summary.
