Media personality and political strategist Steven Bannon today called for the beheading of Dr. Anthony Fauci: Pandemic in his Podcast War Room. The Chief Executive Officer of President Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, former chief strategist and senior counsel to the President, said on national television that Trump’s second term in office should not only begin with the dismissal of FBI Director Chris Wray and top infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci. He said they think their “heads on skewers” would be more appropriate.
Below is a partial transcript of the discussion between Bannon and his co-host.
STEVE BANNON (MODERATOR): The second term begins with the shooting of Wray who fires Fauci.
Now I would like to go one step further, but I realize that the President is a kind and good man. I would actually like to go back to the old days of Tudor England, I would put the heads on spits, right, I would put them on the two corners of the White House as a warning to the federal bureaucrats. Either you stick to the program or you’re gone – time to stop playing games. Blow it all up, put Ric Grenell in place today as interim head of the FBI, that will enlighten them, right.
Note: Grenell is a former acting director of the National Intelligence Agency who held a press conference in Las Vegas on Thursday morning announcing a lawsuit to block “illegal voices” in Nevada].
JACK MAXEY (CO-MODERATOR): You know, Steve, just yesterday was the anniversary of the hanging of two Tories in Philadelphia, they were Quaker businessmen who lived with the British, if you will, while they occupied Philadelphia. These people were hanged. We used to do that with traitors.
That’s how you won the revolution. Nobody wants to talk about it. The revolution was not a garden party, right? It was a civil war. It was a civil war.
Bannon left his position as strategist and advisor in the Trump administration after eight months to return to Breitbart News, where he is a former chairman of the board. He left Breitbart again after the publication of his book “Fire and Fury”, which incurred the wrath of Trump due to the critical comments of the President in it. The two seem to reconcile later, but in August of this year he was arrested along with three others and charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and money laundering in connection with the We Build The Wall campaign. He has pleaded not guilty and the date for his trial is set for May 2021.
