Mega Markle and Prince Harry bought their Christmas tree – after the Prince was amusingly mistaken for an employee.
When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left Archie at home, they visited a store near their home in Santa Barbara.
One of their team members arranged a quiet time with the staff, during which, according to a member of the staff, they could pay a discreet visit without being harassed by fans.
They then picked up their favorite tree from the selection before they went home.
In an account confirmed by Washington Newsday, Twitter user James wrote: “Meghan and Prince Harry came to my work today and we sold them their Christmas tree.
“We had our property empty when they got there – their agent promoted them at a good time instead of us closing it.
“There was a family in there, and their exhilarated little son ran through the trees to Harry and asked him if he worked here without knowing who that was.

He added: “They seem honest as very nice people.
“Meghan sounds very nice and Harry sounded and behaved honestly like a cool guy.
“I am really glad that they liked our trees. We got the best we could from Wa. Very grateful :)”
Meghan and Harry have not yet made any announcements about how they will spend Christmas. However, since the beginning of the pandemic, they have not been around much.
In March they moved to Los Angeles. In June, they bought a mansion in Montecito, Santa Barbara, and moved in early July.
It is not known that they returned to the United Kingdom to visit Prince Harry’s family, although the Duke had regular contact with relatives in the summer after Meghan suffered a miscarriage.
The Duke and Duchess celebrated a quiet Thanksgiving feast at home and enjoyed a traditional meal with vegetables from their garden.
A Sussex source at the time reported on Washington Newsday: “They will have a quiet dinner at home and look forward to celebrating their first American Thanksgiving in the States as a family.

“They plan to enjoy a home-cooked meal with traditional Thanksgiving dishes, including recipes prepared with fresh vegetables from their garden.
The Prince made video calls with the Royals to celebrate birthdays earlier in the year, and it’s quite possible that he will choose a similar route to celebrate his first U.S. Christmas with his family.
Meghan may also want to take the opportunity to spend Christmas with her mother.
The couple could also be moved to think about their year – when last Christmas they had not yet publicly announced their decision to resign as Senior Working Royals.
