While we wait for the election results, the late night show Full Frontal by comedian Samantha Bee with an ad-free special episode will be broadcast on TBS on Wednesday at 22:30 EST.
All is well! Maybe. Probably. Let’s work it all out together in a brand new, ad-free episode of Full Frontal tonight at 10:30 pm on TBS! pic.twitter.com/6NB9ViRtEL

In an advertisement for the episode, the comedian complains that she is as confused as everyone else about the outcome of the vote, but says that she will provide entertainment with a new episode and without advertising. “Listen, we don’t know what’s going on either, but we’re here to find out tonight with you in a completely new, ad-free episode of Full Frontal after the election,” she exclaims in the commercial.
Of course Bee will use her typical political humor in the new episode, but in the commercials she also admits that the voter fatigue that affects so many of us is catching up with her. “I’ll just rest my head gently until then,” she says in the clip as she lowers her head onto a pad with the show’s logo.
While it’s not entirely clear what she’ll have in store for the show, it seems the episode could include a parody of Adam McKay’s Dick Cheney’s drama “Dick Cheney dramedy biopic Vice,” in which she mocks both Vice President Mike Pence and the transformation that actor Christian Bale went through to portray Cheney in the film.
In the Vice theme sketch, which was teased on YouTube and Twitter on Wednesday, Bee jokes that she was tapped for the role of Pence in the sequel to McKay’s movie, and she takes a few punches at Pence. “I couldn’t wait to play America’s first eunuch vice president,” jokes Bee. “He’s slick down, like a Ken doll.”
While a make-up artist helps the host transform himself, Bee offers a commentary explaining how she prepares for the role. But after Bee simply puts on a wig, the makeup artist says they are ready, much to Bee’s dismay. When the comedian asks why it happened so quickly, the artist tells her that she and Pence “have a very similar bone structure and small button eyes” before Bee storms off.
The video ends with a freeze-frame of a poster for the fictional Vice 2: This time it’s Pence joking Jim Parsons will play Mitch McConnell; Margo Martindale will play Pence’s wife Karen Pence (who is jokingly referred to as “Mother”, a reference to a Rolling Stone profile that reports that the Vice President sometimes calls his wife “Mother”); Bale will play the role of President Donald Trump; and Meryl Streep will, of course, play COVID-19.
Although the upcoming episode is announced as an ad-free episode, it may include commercials parodied by Will Arnett that sell Republican plaque collections and a “WTF election coin” to “celebrate this historic clusterf**k of an election.
Both faux-commercial videos were also posted on the Full Frontal YouTube channel on Wednesday.
