The Hauser Weinimport GmbH from Fischach (Bavaria) started a recall for the article “Sangria 7% vol” in the 1.0 liter cardboard packing. According to the company, an allergen was not indicated on the product’s packaging. Certain persons should not consume the drink.
“Unfortunately, as part of a reissue of the packaging, the allergen indication “Contains sulfites” was removed,” the company writes in a press release.
Mainly offered at Edeka and Marktkauf
Affected by the recall is the drink “Sangria 7% vol” in the 1.0 liter carton with lot numbers, which can be recognized by the following first four digits: L6573…, L6763…, L6922… and L7006… . These lot numbers are located on the top of the packaging next to the closure.
Hauser Weinimport GmbH and the trading companies have taken the corresponding goods out of sale. Customers who have bought the corresponding product can return it to their shops for a refund of the purchase price without presenting the receipt.
According to the information provided, the article was sold in the federal states of Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Hesse, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Saxony and Thuringia as well as in neighboring areas. The drink was mainly offered at Edeka and Marktkauf.
