One week before the elections COVID cases are increasing in these states.

Seven days before the U.S. presidential election in 2020, it was reported that new cases of corona virus are increasing in most of the country, including several key states such as Pennsylvania, Florida, Michigan, Arizona and Wisconsin.

The 42 states listed below have each reported an increase in the average daily incidence of new cases over a 14-day period from October 13 to 26, according to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University (JHU).

The daily case numbers listed below reflect a three-day moving average of new daily infections reported from October 13 to 26.

1. california
Day 1 (October 13): 3,168.14
Day 14 (October 26): 4.268,50
Highest daily number of cases in a 14-day period: 4,699.80 on October 25
Lowest daily case number in the 14-day period: 2,928.86 on October 15

It was reported that the average daily new cases in California in the last 14 days showed an upward trend. However, the average number has been declining since the end of July, when it peaked at 9,561 on July 21, and, according to the JHU, flattened out from mid-September to mid-October.

2. Texas

It was reported that the average daily number of cases in Texas has shown an upward trend over the last two weeks. However, the number has been declining since mid-July, when it peaked at 10,572 on July 17, according to the JHU.

3. Florida

Lowest daily number of cases in a 14-day period: 2,788 on October 13

While the average daily new infections in Florida have statistically increased over the last 14 days, the average number has decreased sharply since mid-July, when it peaked at 11,870 on July 14, according to JHU.

4th New York

Lowest daily number of cases in a 14-day period: 1,344.43 on October 13

While New York has seen a statistical increase in the average daily number of new cases in the last two weeks, the average number of cases has been flattening out for months since the beginning of June. The number rose sharply from mid-March to early April, the peak of the outbreak, when it peaked on April 7 with 9,909 cases. According to the JHU, the average daily number of new cases then fell dramatically until early June.

5. new jersey

While the average daily number of cases in New Jersey statistically increased in the last two weeks, the number has been flattening out since the beginning of June, after a sharp decline in early April, when it peaked at 3,674 cases on April 4, according to the JHU.

6th Connecticut

The average daily case load in Connecticut increased from early October after a sharp decline from the end of April, when it peaked at 1,102 cases on April 19. From the beginning of June, it flattened out for months, according to JHU.

7th Pennsylvania

According to the JHU, the average daily incidence of new cases in Pennsylvania has increased since the end of June, after declining from early April and rising sharply from mid-March.

Average daily new infections in Illinois have increased since mid-June and have risen sharply since early October. The average number increased from mid-March to early May before decreasing until mid-June, according to the JHU.
