NCIS Los Angeles’ Season 12 Release date, Cast, How to watch online.

NCIS Los Angeles Season 12 has a release date this November on CBS, as the show was able to resume shooting in our COVID-affected world. However, the corona virus has affected which actors will be available and when, forcing the show’s storyline to take a time jump. A full trailer has not yet been released by CBS, but the makers of NCIS LA have given fans a hint of what to expect in the upcoming episodes.

When does the 12th season of NCIS LA begin?

The season premiere of NCIS Los Angeles Season 12 will air on CBS on Sunday, November 8 at 8:30 p.m. ET / 7:30 p.m. CT, followed by the recent premiere of the sister show NCIS: New Orleans.

As always, the episode will be available online on the CBS website shortly after the broadcast.

Fans should expect a slightly shorter season than usual this year, with 18 instead of the usual 24 episodes. This should mean that although the series starts a month later than usual, it should end sometime in May 2021.

Who is in the cast of NCIS LA Season 12?

It is expected that all following cast members will return:

Chris O’Donnell – G. Callen
LL Cool J – Sam Hanna
Daniela Ruah – Kensi Blye
Barrett Foa – Eric Beale
Eric Christian Olsen – Marty Deeks
Renée Felice Smith – Nell Jones
Linda Hunt – Hetty Lange

However, it has been suggested that some of them may have disappeared from our screens for a number of episodes. Showrunner R. Scott Gemmill, for example, told TVLine: “We have some funny things to do with Eric Beale, the idea is that we won’t see him for a while”. He also hinted that Linda Hunt will only appear occasionally, as Hetty is considering retiring to keep actress Linda Hunt safe.

The Showrunner said about her role in the show: “She is like saffron. She’s expensive, but you don’t need much.”

One cast member who will not return is Kamran (previously played by Layla Crawford), the daughter of Sam Hanna (LL Cool J). In NCIS Los Angeles Season 12 she will be replaced by All American star Kayla Smith.

While Smith joins the cast, Caleb Castille, who appeared as FBI agent Devin Roundtree in several episodes last season, is promoted to series director.

Gemmill has also hinted that Catherine Bell will not return in the first episodes, but that she may return towards the end of the season, and told TVLine, “We won’t be able to deploy Catherine until the new year.

What will happen in NCIS LA Season 12?

After the last season had to be ended early, the finale will end with episode 2 of season 12, in which Thomas Argento (Juan Riedinger) will stand trial for his crimes.

This episode and each subsequent episode of season 12 will take place at an undetermined time after the end of the coronavirus pandemic.

Gemmill also said about the new season: “We’ve got a lot going on with Callen regarding his relationship with Anna (played by Bar Paly), who’s taking a job with a lot of volunteer work and helping communities that have been hit really hard by COVID. This job takes her away from Los Angeles, and it’s during this time that Callen really starts to realize how much he misses her – to the point where he decides that maybe it’s time for him to make things ‘permanent’ between them.

“We’re also doing a lot with Sam about his relationship with Katherine (played by Moon Bloodgood), and we’re focusing a little more on his daughter, who’s at the same military academy he went to and is trying to get into Annapolis.

So far CBS hasn’t released a trailer for NCIS LA season 12, but they have released one minute of footage from the first episode, which you can see above.

NCIS LA Season 12 will air on CBS on Sundays at 20:30 ET / 19:30 on CBS….
