Marilyn Manson is aware of the arrest warrant but has made no effort to respond, according to police.
According to authorities, Marilyn Manson is aware that he has an active arrest warrant in New Hampshire.
After an alleged altercation with a videographer during a concert at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion on August 18, 2019, the singer, whose given name is Brian Warner, is wanted on two charges of misdemeanor assault.
The claims have been branded as “ludicrous” by the 52-year-legal old’s team.
The cameraman had been hired to capture the Manson event and was in the stage pit area when the alleged assaults occurred, according to the Gilford Police Department in New Hampshire.
According to a police statement, “Brian Hugh Warner (aka: Marilyn Manson) has an active arrest warrant for two counts of Class A misdemeanor Simple Assault coming from a 2019 incident at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion.”
“A videographer was allegedly assaulted. Mr. Warner, his agency, and his legal counsel have known about the warrant for some time, but he has made no effort to return to New Hampshire to face the charges.”
In New Hampshire, a Class A misdemeanor can result in a jail sentence of less than one year and a fine of up to $2,000. “The issue of an arrest warrant is not a presumption of guilt,” according to the police statement.
The authorities have also stated that the alleged attacks are “not sexual in character,” as some other media sources have speculated based on a number of other charges leveled against Mr. Warner.
Manson’s legal team has been contacted by Washington Newsday for comment.
Despite finding the allegations “ludicrous,” the singer’s lawyer, Howard King, informed NME that they were cooperating with police.
“Anyone who has seen a Marilyn Manson concert knows that he enjoys being provocative on stage, especially in front of a camera,” King added.
“We pursued this misdemeanor claim after receiving a demand for more than $35,000 from a venue videographer after a small quantity of spit came into touch with their arm. After we asked for evidence of any alleged damages, we never received a reply.
“This whole claim is ludicrous, but we remain committed to cooperating with authorities, as we have done throughout.”
The news follows serious allegations made against Manson. This is a brief summary.
