Jay Cutler has again expressed his support for President Donald Trump.
In an Instagram post, the former NFL star shared an open letter from golfer Jack Nicklaus praising the president for the efforts his administration made during his first term as president.
“Never a doubt,” Culter described the post.
In a detailed open letter posted on Nicklaus’ Twitter on Wednesday, the 80-year-old expressed his disappointment at the treatment Trump has received from critics.
“Over the past three and a half years I have had the privilege of getting to know our current president a little better during his term of office. I was disappointed with what he had to put up with from many directions, but I saw in it the determination and will to do what is right for our country,” Nicklaus wrote about Trump. “He has kept his promises. He has worked for the average citizen. In my opinion, he was more diverse than any president I have seen and tried to help people from all walks of life equally.
Niklaus added: “Donald Trump’s policies will bring the American dream to many families across the nation who are still trying to make it a reality.
Nicklaus noted Trump’s reputation for tweeting quickly, admitting that some people might take offense to Trump’s rhetoric in the social media, and the 18-time Major winner claimed he even warned Trump about his Twitter behavior.
“But I’ve learned to look past that and focus on what he was trying to achieve. This is not a personality contest; it’s about patriotism, politics and the people who influence them,” Nicklaus continued. “His love for America and its citizens and the fact that he puts his country first has been loud and clear. How he said that was not important to me. What was important were his actions. Now you have the opportunity to do something.
Nicklaus closed the message by encouraging his millions of supporters to participate in the upcoming election on November 3 by voting, by voting for Trump.
“If we want to continue to have the opportunity to pursue the American dream and not develop into a socialist America and let the government run your life, I strongly recommend that you consider Donald J. Trump for another 4 years. I have definitely voted for him and I have already cast my vote! wrote Nicklaus.

The admiration of Nicklaus and Cutler for Trump should not be a surprise. Shortly after the 2016 Republicans defeated Hillary Clinton, Cutler claimed he was satisfied with the outcome of the election. After a conversation with Cutler, Bears Radio Network host Zach Zaidman wrote on Twitter that Cutler was moved by Trump’s efforts to “make America great again.
“‘I am pleased with the results. I supported Trump for a while,” said #Bears QB Jay Cutler about the election. I like where this is going,” twittered Zaidman.
In the meantime, Nicklaus has already worked with the President and even helped Trump design a golf course.
