Tayshia Adams takes on the bachelorette role, but some fans might still be frustrated with season 16 anyway. Spoilers suggest that there won’t be a perfect love story in the franchise this time, so if that’s what you’re waiting for, maybe it’s time to change the channel.
The season began with Clare Crawley as a bachelorette, and there were rumors that Adams might be at the helm. This was confirmed in last week’s episode: Adams will distribute the roses for the rest of the season. This change will probably take place on Thursday evening.
Crawley will leave the show with Dale Moss, and Adams will apparently follow in Crawley’s footsteps directly, along with all the remaining men and perhaps a few newcomers. She will eventually end up with one of the candidates Crawley knew: Zac C. But it’s not that simple.
Reality Steve revealed on Wednesday that Zac C. and Adams are not engaged after The Bachelorette. It is unclear why; this could have been a decision of one or both of them. But the real confusion comes from other spoilers who claim that Adams’ first choice left the show of his own accord.
This is not unknown. We all saw Madison Prewett leave Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor earlier this year. Weber and Prewett got together for a very short time after the show. (And when we say “short”, we mean for about three days before they separated publicly).
Adams apparently continued shooting after her first choice allegedly left the show, giving her final raise to Zac C. But formal spoilers were not available until Wednesday, as Reality Steve claimed that many of Adams’ details were still in development for the end of the season. He even announced that Adams and Zac C. may no longer be together. At this point, nobody knows.
“Where they are now can only be guessed at,” Reality Steve wrote on Wednesday in his blog post. “Some people have told me they’re not together, some have told me they still are, but it’s not that solid, and some have said it will never last. She is a SoCal girl who wants to exert influence. He runs a sobriety facility in New York. So that’s our position at this point.”
If you’re watching “The Bachelorette” in the hope of a perfect reality TV love story, you might want to pay closer attention to Crawley’s part of the season. While some viewers have been frustrated by Crawley’s immediate association with Moss, this could be the most romantic part of the season.
However, due to the 2020 presidential election, the Bachelorette has a different schedule this week. You can watch the end of Crawley’s story and the beginning of Adams’ story on Thursday at 20:00 ET. On Tuesday, however, the show will return to its normal program….
