Is SNL running tonight? Season 46, Episode 6 Host, musical guest.

What an incredibly long and exhausting week it has been. You can thank the 2020 election for that. But finally we made it to the end. Let us all join in a sigh of relief.

Admittedly, there is still a long way to go before Americans can simply accept the results, with President Donald Trump’s pending lawsuits against states, claims of vote fraud, demands for recounts and all that. But for the moment it is done. It is Saturday. We can take our eyes off the news and maybe have a few laughs. When Saturday Night Live is broadcast this weekend, there will be a lot of laughs.

This week’s host is one of the most celebrated comedians of the century. And while the SNL is always very cautious about the material to be broadcast in the one-hour comedy show, given this man’s track record of frying politicians and the moral inability of American society as a whole, it’s not too far-fetched to believe that some political shots will be fired during his opening monologue.

Read below everything you need to know about the upcoming sixth episode of SNL Season 46.

Who is the host?

Dave Chappelle is back for the second time as SNL host. He was on the show for the last time just days after Trump’s appointment as president after 2016. Back then, Chappelle wished Trump good luck in his 11-minute opening monologue and said he would give the real estate mogul a chance. He suggested that “we, the historically disenfranchised, demand that he give us one too”.

Chappelle won his first Emmy Award for his debut on the SNL – as best guest actor in a comedy series – but although he was very well received for a moment, he still apologized to Trump for his words six months after his performance.

I was the first person to say on television, “Give Trump a chance,” he said at the 2017 Robin Hood Gala in New York. “I screwed up. I’m sorry.”

Who’s performing?

Can you believe it’s been 25 years since the Foo Fighters made their first appearance in the SNL? In the upcoming episode, Dave Grohl and the rest of the band will perform for the eighth time.

Their gig follows their tenth studio album. studio albums. On Thursday they will show an excerpt of the new project on Twitter with the headline #LPX. We hope that fans will hear the first single of the upcoming album when they enter the SNL stage.
