The Real Slim Shady does not remain silent on the 2020 election, and rapper Eminem, born Marshall Mathers, just elected former vice president Joe Biden as his candidate for president by posting a campaign video on Twitter.

The video is entitled “One Opportunity”, an argument to vote for Biden and his vice-presidential election Kamala Harris. It uses the song “Lose Yourself” by Eminem, which contains the same line: “One Opportunity.

Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, shared the video with the same caption.

Eminem is just one of hundreds of celebrities who have expressed their views on politics this year, even though he joined the game a little late. Election day is on Tuesday, so the rapper made his political views known less than 24 hours before polling stations open, although the postal vote is a popular option in America this year due to the ongoing pandemic.

Comments on Eminem’s tweet vary from supporters of President Donald Trump, who do not understand the rapper’s point of view, to other Biden supporters. Others joked that Eminem should be the president.

When examining Eminem’s earlier political statements, his support for Biden should not be so surprising. The rapper beat Trump in a 2017 interview with Geier. He admitted that he once thought Trump could be good for the country.

“He makes my blood boil,” Eminem said, “I can’t even watch the news anymore because he makes me too stressed,” Eminem said. All jokes aside, all punch lines aside, I’m trying to spread a message about him. I also want our country to be great, I want it to be the best it can be, but it won’t be if he is in charge.

He continued: “I remember when he first started snooping around in politics, I thought: we’ve tried everything else, why not him? Then – and I witnessed it live – he had this speech in which he said Mexico was sending us rapists and criminals. I had this feeling, what the hell… From then on, I knew it was going to be bad for him. What he is doing by turning people against each other is scary f****** s***. His choice was such a disappointment to me about the state of the country.

Eminem had his own candidacies with the administration. He was confronted with the secret service after texts about the possible murder of Trump and his daughter Ivanka. The explicit text is contained in the song “Framed”, which was published in 2018.
