As a trump card on the verge of losing the election: This is how celebrities react.

Joe Biden is on the verge of being named President-Elect of the United States, following significant successes in Pennsylvania, Georgia and Nevada on Friday.

The historic election was an incredibly close race between former Democratic vice presidential candidate Biden and incumbent Republican Donald Trump, the latter accused of electoral fraud while his team struggled to cope with seemingly inevitable defeat.

A victory for Biden in Pennsylvania would give him 20 more electoral college votes out of a total of 273, putting him above the 270 votes needed to win the presidency.

Biden was also just ahead of Trump in Georgia in the early hours of the morning, extending his lead over his Republican rival in Nevada.

As the president’s chances of being re-elected dwindle, a considerable list of celebrities opposed to Trump was heard.

“Dear Donald Trump, please prepare to leave our house. Sincerely, a majority of Americans,” tweeted actor and filmmaker Paul Feig along with a picture of the White House.

Despite Biden’s notable successes, Trump is adamant in his campaign that the race for the White House is not over.

Matt Morgan, lead counsel for the Trump 2020 campaign, said in a statement: “Biden is relying on these states for his feigned claim to the White House, but once the election is over, President Trump will be re-elected.
