In the historic presidential election in 2020, Joe Biden led the election ahead of Donald Trump.
The close race, which takes place on the third day of the count, has put the Democratic candidate in the lead as the states of Georgia and Pennsylvania went blue flipping on Friday morning.
On Thursday night, however, President Trump delivered a deeply controversial speech in which he claimed without any evidence that the Democrats were trying to steal the presidential election.
Trump’s allegations, which were condemned by both the Democrats and many Republicans at the national and local levels, were presented without evidence.
He claimed that the postal ballots that were still being counted were “illegal” votes that threatened the integrity of the entire democratic process.
“If you count the legal votes, I win easily,” Trump said. “If you count the illegal votes, they may try to steal the election from us. If you count the votes that were late, we look at them very closely.”
Many condemned the remarks made by Trump in his speech, with many politically active celebrities speaking out.
