14 years after meeting for “My Super Sweet 16” parody, Colin Jost and Scarlett Johansson are married.

Congratulations are in order for Colin Jost and Scarlett Johansson! The A-list couple has made a pact for life. People reported that Jost and Johansson held an intimate ceremony at the weekend. The Instagramms Meals on Wheels Instagram report announced their union on Thursday with a picture of the Staten Island ferry that referred to Jost’s home district. The ferry aptly read “Jost married.

“We are very pleased to share the news that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were married this weekend in an intimate ceremony with their closest family members and loved ones, in compliance with COVID-19 security measures as ordered by the CDC,” the Post said, adding that the newlyweds had asked for donations for Meals on Wheels as wedding gifts.

“Their wedding wish is to help make a difference for needy older adults in this difficult time by supporting @mealsonwheelsamerica,” the post continued. “Please consider donating to celebrate the happy couple by clicking on the link in our biography”.

Although they only made the headlines as a couple three years ago, Jost and Johansson originally met on Saturday Night Live in 2006. “The first time she hosted was the first year I was on the show as a writer,” Jost revealed. “So since then we have somehow known each other … she is the best.”

In his memoirs A Very Punchable Face, he referred to their first meeting. “In my first year, I got eight sketches on the show, including a cold open and a parody of MTV’s My Super Sweet Sixteen, starring first-time host Scarlett Johansson,” he recalls.

“She just turned 20 and I was 23, but in terms of her status and maturity, she was here [holding her hand above her head]and I was here [holding her hand an inch above the ground]. She claims that she remembers finding me ‘cute’, but I know what I looked like, and that is not the word I would have used. (‘Shaggy’ would have been generous. ‘Slovenian’, to be precise)”.

Jost wrote that Johansson “has a grace and a smile that I have never seen in any other person. Regarding the details from the sketch, Jost revealed: “The only line I remember from the sketch is when Scarlett’s bratty character says, ‘This party is literally worse than the Holocaust. That was my Shakespeare sonnet for the woman I would fall in love with one day”.

Johansson also recalled this sketch to the Hollywood Reporter in 2019: “It was a stupid parody he had written, and he was partly directing that segment we had to do,” Johansson said at the time. “This is my first memory of him. He seemed very confident back then. I don’t know if he felt that way, but in this environment, if you’re not confident as a writer, your stuff is simply never produced.

Johansson hosted Saturday Night Live again in 2007, 2010, 2015, 2017 and 2019. Jost has been a writer for SNL since 2005 and became co-host of the SNL segment “Weekly Update” in 2014.

There were rumors that they started dating after Johansson was seen kissing Jost after her performance in May 2017. They made their public debut as a couple in November 2017 at a gala at the Museum of Natural History. After two years together, they became engaged in May 2019.

This is the third marriage for Johansson; she was married to Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2011 and to journalist Romain Dauriac from 2014 to 2017. With Dauriac she has joint custody of her daughter Rose. This is Jost’s first marriage.
