Yvonne Strahovski Reveals Whether She’ll Be in the ‘Dexter’ Revival
Dexter fans are growing increasingly enthusiastic about the revival season. However, there are still a lot of unanswered questions, such as who will return and when. Of course, Michael C. Hall (Dexter Morgan) will return, but he is the only original cast member who has been confirmed for Dexter Season 9.
One of his former co-stars has ruled out appearing in the show as audiences wait for its premiere. Yvonne Strahovski, who played Hannah McKay for the last two seasons on the show, revealed in an interview that she was never asked to reprise her part.
Yvonne Strahovski has confirmed that she will not be appearing in the ‘Dexter’ reboot.
Strahovski was asked if she was working on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen while visiting the show, which has been taping in Massachusetts for weeks. “I’m so sorry to break it to everyone, but I haven’t heard anything about the reboot,” she responded.
“It doesn’t appear that Hannah McKay will be making a comeback,” she added. “I have a hypothesis that maybe, um, maybe Harrison has already murdered her and is following in his father’s footsteps. I’m not sure. “I don’t have a clue.”
Hannah was last seen in the series finale, when Dexter entrusted her with his son, Harrison. He had intended to return to them, but he changed his mind. Instead, he pretended to die, relocated to Oregon, and began a new career as a lumberjack.
The Alternate Ending of ‘Dexter’ Makes So Much More Sense to Viewers
Given how the story ended, Hannah would seem to be one of the most likely characters to return. But, based on what I’ve heard, Showtime and the Dexter team had other ideas.
After James Remar (Harry Morgan) revealed that he, too, had not been invited back, Strahovski revealed that he had not been invited back. “They didn’t ask any of the original cast members to return, so I’m not sure… This is a condensed version of the plot. I hope you found it entertaining.
