Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth in a photo Are Fans Convinced That Loki Is Gene Wilder?
It’s hard to think the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been in existence for over a decade.
While the cinematic universe has come a long way since its beginnings, many of the classic faces of cherished heroes from the early days may still be found. Those Marvel alumni who were relatively unknown performers before to their roles have seen their full climb to popularity as a superhero firsthand. Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor, recently paid tribute to this tradition by tweeting a photo of himself and Loki actor Tom Hiddleston at the start of their adventure.
Fans adored the flashback to the beginning, especially Hiddleston’s blonde lochs, which have some fans believing he looks like a young Gene Wilder.
Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth have been playing Loki and Thor for ten years.
Without The Dark World, Loki and Thor’s Relationship Wouldn’t Have Been the Same.
Thor made his big screen debut in 2011. While it didn’t do as well at the box office in the United States as 2008’s Iron Man, grossing only $181 million, it was a great financial success abroad, collecting over $445 million. According to Men’s Health, Hiddleston and Hemsworth were only paid $160k and $150k each movie, respectively, so the success was a great opportunity for them.
While this may have appeared to most fans to be a large sum of money, their earnings would rise as their popularity soared. Despite the film’s critical and box office disaster, the two were ready to sign on to the sequel to 2013’s The Dark World, with each earning a significant pay raise.
Hemsworth has already participated in eight MCU installments, while Hiddleston has been in six, with a seventh on the way in June with his self-titled series. Both have seen their wages skyrocket as they have progressed from wannabe Hollywood stars to full-fledged movie stars.
