Fitness habits were thrown off when gyms closed and most people spent their time inside their houses, and some people were more sedentary than normal. Chef de cuisine extraordinaire Ree Drummond, star of The Pioneer Woman, recently announced that she gained and lost weight after the pandemic. Now, the Pioneer Woman is spilling the beans about how she lost weight and got fit.
The weight-loss journey of the Pioneer Woman
Drummond documented her journey in a TikTok video posted on May 17.
“Hello, my name is Ree Drummond, and I’m the Pioneer Woman,” she introduced herself. “You may recognize me from my cooking show, but I also have cookbooks and a cooking website — I can’t seem to stay away from food and enjoy eating. Of course, it crept up on me over time, especially during COVID.”
Drummond decided she needed to get healthy in 2021 after 2020.
“So, in January, I made the decision to get busy and lose weight. “There are no gimmicks at all,” she said. “I simply cut calories, increased my workout, and lifted a lot of weights.”
Drummond was more concerned about how she felt after losing weight than with her appearance.
“It’s not only that I look better; it’s also that I feel so much better,” she added. “I’m still a goofball, I just have a lot more energy! “Be wary.”
