Diana married Prince Charles in 1981 when she was just 20 years old. She was thrust into the royal spotlight at a young age and started her career as a senior “working” royal, giving speeches and traveling the world on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II.
Diana didn’t start practicing with a voice coach until more than a decade after her royal wedding, according to PopSugar Celebrity. Between 1992 and 1993, she worked with voice coach Peter Settelen to develop her public speaking.
Diana later enlisted Pearce’s support as a speech and appearance coach. Pearce “coached Diana during the last two years of her life,” according to his bio on the official Diana the Voice of Change website.
Princess Diana, according to Stewart Pearce, gave him permission to write a book after Prince William and Prince Harry married.
According to Andrew Morton, Princess Diana’s “Panorama” interview and biography will be included in Season 5 of “The Crown.”
During an interview with Us Weekly in May 2021, Pearce revealed that Diana had one condition for him writing a book about her.
“Nearly before she died, Diana said to me, ‘Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all of our work together became a novel, but if you do, please don’t publish it until after the boys are married,’” Pearce recalled.
