‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Gets a Major Promotion Ahead of Season 13 Despite Cast Changes
The season 12 finale of NCIS: Los Angeles startled viewers by removing two senior cast members. R. Scott Gemmill, the showrunner, has now announced that another change has been made to the cast. He claims that one of the actors has received a significant promotion ahead of Season 13.
Two long-running characters on ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ have died.
Eric Beale (Barrett Foa), the team’s former tech operator, has a huge announcement in the season 12 finale of NCIS: Los Angeles. He told his partner, intelligence analyst Nell Jones (Renée Felice Smith), that he had gotten finance for his Kaleidoscope-based tech firm’s international headquarters.
Furthermore, it was stated that the headquarters would be headquartered in Tokyo, and that Eric had pitched Nell to his board as his number one. Nell had turned down the position of Operations Manager by the end of the episode. Instead, she chose to be with Eric. The two drove off into the sunset in his new sports car in the season’s final minutes.
Why did they get rid of two characters at the same time?
Foa has been a part of NCIS: Los Angeles since it first aired in 2009. He wasn’t actually a member of the original cast. He was, however, upgraded to series regular midway through the first season. He took a leave of absence during Season 11 to focus on another project. In season 12, he has made sporadic appearances.
Smith joins the cast early in Season 2 of the show. However, in the last two seasons, she has only made infrequent appearances. Gemmill said that they chose to write out both of these characters at the same time because it seemed like the perfect timing for the program and the actors.
“Both Renée and Barrett have been on the show… This is a condensed version of the narrative. I hope you found it entertaining.
