On May 23, Lena Meyer-Landrut celebrates her 30th birthday. On Instagram, she congratulates herself. She shares a new photo with her almost four million fans.
At the age of 19, Lena Meyer-Landrut won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010. Back then, the young girl from Hanover was still a teenager. In the meantime, she has grown up – and not only that: the singer has reached the next milestone in her life. Lena turned 30 on Sunday.
On the occasion of her birthday, the musician shared a new photo with her fans on Instagram. In the snapshot, Lena is wearing only a beige silk dangle, which should look familiar to her fans. She already wore the airy little dress in a video announcing her new music. To the new snapshot Lena wrote briefly and succinctly: “Dirty 30” (German: “schmutzige 30”).

Less than an hour after publication, she had already collected almost 65,000 likes and countless “Happy Birthday” comments. Stars like music producer Mousse T. and influencer Anna Schürle also wished her a happy birthday. A few minutes later, Lena Meyer-Landrut published yet another post on Instagram. This time again a video with which she wants to promote her new music.
It was only on May 17 that she had deleted her entire Instagram feed. Just one day later, she had then reported back with a small video and was showered with a lot of “love” from her fans. In the short clip you can see excerpts from concerts mixed with other video sequences. Underneath runs a dance-inspired up-tempo beat. At the end, the date May 21 is superimposed with the word “Optimistic.” Meant was a new EP, as it turned out on Saturday.
