Scranton may be a city in Pennsylvania’s mountains, but it is also known as the site of The Office. Just two of The Office’s cast members are from Pennsylvania, as it turns out. And you may be surprised to learn who they are.
Scranton, Dunder Mifflin: ‘The Electric City’

The Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin Paper Company is the highlight of the comedy series. Surprisingly, the majority of The Office’s cast were not from the state of Pennsylvania. Two cast members, on the other hand, took pride in being in a show set in their home state.
Kate Flannery and Zach Woods, who star on NBC’s “The Office,” are both from Pennsylvania.
Kate Flannery was born and raised in the city of Philadelphia.
Flannery discussed her hometown during a podcast interview with co-star Brian Baumgartner. She also stated that she is one of the two cast members from the state in which The Office is set.
Zach Woods, who starred as Gabe Lewis on The Office from 2010 to 2013, is also a Pennsylvania native. On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Woods explained, “I’m from Yardley, Pennsylvania, which is right on the Delaware River across from Trenton, New Jersey.”

He went on to tell the story of George Washington’s famous Delaware River crossing. The historic event occurred “very close to [Woods’] childhood home.”
