Jenna Fischer said she was “disappointed” with Jim and Pam’s treatment of Dwight in one scene from “The Office.”
On The Office, Jim Halpert spent a lot of time pranking Dwight Schrute, often with the help of Pam. While the pranks were mostly innocuous, Jenna Fischer, who played Pam, said that she was “disappointed” by Jim and Pam’s treatment of Dwight in one incident.
Jim and Dwight had “wonderful” comic moments, according to John Krasinski.
Jim and Dwight had a number of funny sequences together, which John Krasinski, who played Jim, discussed on the An Oral History of The Office podcast in August 2020.
Because it’s the Odd Couple, whatever happens when you bring two polar opposite individuals together is kind of magical,” Krasinski remarked.
The actor also believes that his character’s pranks were never malicious, but rather carried out in a brotherly manner, which he says is what makes them so amazing.
“I was doing something that I knew he [Dwight] would enjoy,” he continued.
According to Jenna Fischer of ‘The Office,’ Jim and Pam have “the sweetest of sweet moments.”
In one episode of ‘The Office,’ Jim and Pam were cruel to Dwight.
Fischer and Angela Kinsey addressed the season 2 episode “The Fire” on an episode of Office Ladies in January 2020. In this episode, Dwight feels envious of Michael’s attention to Ryan, so he spends some time alone in his car, listening to R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts.”
Jim and Pam observe what’s going on and approach Dwight, but Fischer wasn’t satisfied with how the characters handled the problem.
“How many takes did it take for the scene where you and John are helping Dwight with his emotions while he’s listening to R.E.M. in his car?” a fan asked the podcast presenters. Rainn appears to be on the verge of breaking at the end of that scene. “Are your and John’s reactions natural or staged?”
“Well, it took a while… This is a condensed version of the narrative. I hope you found it entertaining.
