Is a Divorce Storyline on the Horizon for the ‘Sex and the City’ Reboot?
The filming of And Just Like That… is slated to commence in New York City. Fans are ecstatic about the Sex and the City reboot. While HBO Max has not divulged the major plot of the revival, many fans are convinced of one thing: Chris Noth’s return as Mr. Big. They feel certain that Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big will be as in love as they were when Sex and the City 2 ended. While it is a possibility, it appears just as plausible that a divorce narrative is in the works. It would at the very least be appropriate.
In And Just Like That…, will Mr. Big and Carrie be together?
Most fans presume Carrie and her longtime love are still blissfully married after learning about Noth’s return to the Sex and the City reboot. Noth’s participation in the show does not imply that the pair has remained in love all this time. In fact, there’s reason to suppose that their relationship will be thrown another curveball.
John Corbett, who played Aidan Shaw in the original series, will return for many reboot episodes, leaving fans wondering how he’ll fit in. A romantic plot between Carrie and Aidan appears to be a foregone conclusion, but where does that leave Mr. Big? Divorce appears to be a practical and poetic option for the pair to end their on-again, off-again love.
Mr. Big and Carrie Bradshaw didn’t belong together.
Fans of Sex and the City were ecstatic to see Mr. Big and Carrie finally get together. They were even happier when Sex and the City: The Movie gave them the ultimate happy ending. In terms of fire and intensity, the couple’s love affair was realistic. If we’re being honest, their long-term success as a married couple feels a little manufactured.
