Why Do Fans of ‘NCIS: New Orleans’ Always Hope Christopher Lasalle’s Death Isn’t One of Pride’s Nightmares?
Many who are still mourning Black’s departure are still processing the series finale of NCIS: New Orleans. Black’s character, Special Agent Christopher LaSalle, was killed off the show for good, in what some hoped was a red herring demise.
Many who have watched the show since its NCIS crossover debut in 2014 were taken aback by the news. Black’s character, who was one of Dwayne Pride’s (Bakula) most trusted colleagues, was rumored to have left for personal reasons at first.
Soon after, the star was reported to return to the Fast and Furious franchise as a follow-up to his F&F character through Tokyo Drift. Black didn’t give many interviews about his exit, but the ones he did gave were ambiguous at best.
Although it’s obvious that Black wanted to spend more time with his family — as well as potentially work on other projects — the specifics were kept under wraps until now.
Black worried that his family was being harmed by the long hours.
