It made sense for James Wan and his team to include this story in The Conjuring franchise because it was a case that world-renowned ghost-hunting pair Ed and Lorraine Warren worked on. Find out how many jump scares the new Conjuring horror film has.

‘The Devil Made Me Do It’ was not directed by James Wan.
Wan did not direct The Conjuring 3, despite common assumption. Instead, Michael Chaves, a friend and associate, directed the picture. Chaves previously worked on The Curse of La Llorona, another film set in the Conjuring universe. However, just because Wan did not direct the most recent movie in the Conjuring franchise does not mean it is devoid of jump scares.
There are a total of 13 jump scares in ‘The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It.’
