Did Bishop Really Care About Torres on ‘NCIS’?
The NCIS Season 18 finale has left us reeling. What happened between Bishop (Emily Wickersham) and Torres is one event that has lingered in our thoughts (Wilmer Valderrama). Torres and Bishop were doomed from the start, right? Did Bishop ever give a damn?
Torres’ life will never be the same again.
During NCIS Season 18 Episode 16 (named “Rule 91”), Torres was heartbroken. He had hoped to start a relationship with Bishop, but things took a turn for the worse. His expression at the end of the program says it all. His dreams of finding true love were dashed. The hit was particularly hard because he had lately witnessed his father forsake him for the second time (NCIS Season 18 Episode 12, “Sangre”).
Valderrama predicts Torres will go back to not trusting people in an interview with TV Line. He didn’t reveal much about himself when he first started at NCIS, and he was wary of most individuals. He, on the other hand, began to open up and include his teammates in his life. Torres will begin to withdraw after being abandoned for so long.
Was Bishop truly concerned about Torres?
We questioned if Bishop was simply passing the time by flirting with Torres. Was he a pleasant diversion? Did she realize she’d never settle down and start a relationship all along? Bishop, in our opinion, cared about Torres, but she was focused on her next career step.
Bishop’s divorce may have made her wary about entering another committed relationship. That traumatic incident most likely convinced her to leave. She also felt she wouldn’t be able to sustain a relationship in addition to working with Odette (Elayne J. Taylor). She felt the new, high-intensity career path she’s on would get in the way of a happy relationship, so she cut her… This is a condensed version of the narrative. I hope you found it entertaining.
