The Cullens, as you may remember, are unable to consume human food. They can’t even eat normal vampire food, but they have the option of doing so. They, on the other hand, are physically incapable of digesting cafeteria food, no matter how appetizing it can seem. All of the apples, pizza, and other foods on their plates are only for show, so the Forks teens don’t become wary of these beautiful teenagers who are glum and eat sparingly.
People must have looked at the movies in a different light after Midnight Sun came out and the pandemic quarantine sent a lot of Twilight fans back into a Twilight revival. Since, according to a Reddit user, Emmett was seen carrying a large ziploc bag of eggs around in some lunch scenes in October.
