A ‘Chicago Med’ star was recently cast in the series ‘Power Book II: Ghost.’

New York City is currently filming Power Book II: Ghost. The release date for the highly awaited second season of the show has yet to be confirmed by Starz. Fans are also eager to see what mischief Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.) gets up to next.

Ghost picks up after the events of Power and follows Tariq as a college student and drug addict as he attempts to clear his mother Tasha’s (Naturi Naughton) reputation and deal with the fallout from his father James “Ghost” St. Patrick’s (Omari Hardwick) murder.

Fans would be pleased to learn that the cast of Power Book II is only getting stronger as the film nears its release date. In reality, Chicago Med fans will recognize the show’s newest addition.

Season 2 of ‘Power Book II: Ghost’ has been postponed.

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the first season of Power Book II: Ghost was postponed. The fact that the series didn’t premiere until September 2020 completely changed the release dates for the remaining spinoffs, as well as throwing the show’s second season off track.

On Instagram Live, Shane Johnson, who plays Cooper Saxe, said, “The reality is, COVID f-ed up our first season in terms of how we were going to initially release it.” “We did five and five, and that was never the plan,” says the narrator. But we were shut down for about five to six months because of COVID.”

Johnson, who also appeared in the original series, said he had no idea when the show would air. Until then, fans should look forward to the July 18 release of Power Book III: Raising Kanan, a Power prequel.
